some species of boreal/temperate lichen that may be used to produce dye:

parmelia parietina - brown;
parmelia cetarophilia - darker brown;
parmelia saxatilis - yellowish-brown, the color of dead leaves;
ramalina scopulorum - red;
lecanora tartarea - bright crimson;
urceolaria calcaria (limestone lichen) - scarlet;
ochroleccia sp. - various hues of purple (cudbear).

lichens may also be used to produce claret red and reddish-brown colors.

some species of boreal/temperate fungi that may be used to produce dye:

bulgaria inquinans (black bulgar) - brownish-black, red/golden brown (no mordant), grayish-brown (alum or iron), chocolate brown (tin), brown (copper);
cortinarius cinnamomeus (dry) - orange (no mordant or alum), muddy orange (tin), reddish-brown/cinnamon (copper), gray/reddish-brown/orange (iron);
cortinarius croceus - pale orange/yellow (no mordant), orange/yellow (alum or tin);
cortinarius sanguineus - orange, rust-red (no mordant), red/reddish-orange (alum), scarlet (tin), deep fox-red/cinnamon (copper), purple/tan (iron);
cortinarius semisanguineus (red-gilled webcap, surprise webcap) - orange to rust red/apricot (no mordant), orangey red/red/apricot (alum), cinnamon (chrome), orangey yellow/salmon pink, reddish-brown/tan (copper), grayish-brown/tan (iron);
fomes fomentarius (horse's) hoof fungus, tinder fungus) - beige (no mordant), beige brown/mustard (alum), yellowish-brown (chrome), yellowish-brown/mustard (tin), yellowish-brown/light brown (copper), dark brown/light brown (iron);
gymnopilus penetrans - gold (no mordant or alum), mustard (chrome), gold/yellow (tin), cinnamon (copper), greenish-yellow (iron);
hydnellum caeruleum (blue tooth, blue spine, blue-green hydnellum) - tan (no mordant), grayish-blue (alum), grayish-green (chrome), light blue (tin), brownish-green (copper), dark forest green (iron);
hypholoma fasiculare (clustered woodlover, sulphur tuft)- gold/yellow (no mordant), yellowish-beige/gold (alum), cinnamon (chrome), ochre yellow/gold (tin), yellow olive/yellowish-brown (copper), grayish-green/greenish-brown (iron);
inonotus hispidus - yellow (alum), gold brown (copper), green gold (iron);
lactarius deliciosus (saffron milk-cap, red pine mushroom) - beige;
paxillus atromentosus - beige brown (no mordant or alum), yellowish-brown (tin), olive/tawny (copper), yellow/grayish-green (iron) (when aged, the colors range from forest green, lavender, brownish-green, dark green and dark gray to purplish-black);
paxillus involutus (poison pax, common roll-rim, brown roll-rim) - beige (no mordant or alum), orange (tin), tan (copper), greenish tan (iron);
phaeolus schweinitzii (velvet-top fungus) - beige yellow (no mordant), yellow (alum), bright yellow (tin), brown (copper), moss green (iron);
ramaria pallida (colic coral) - blue;
thelephora palmata - tan (no mordant, alum, chrome), olive green (tin), tan (copper or iron), blue;
tricholompsis rutilans (red-haired agaric, plums and custard) - mustard (no mordant or tin), brown (alum or chrome), dark brown (copper), brownish-black (iron).
